Sweetest First Sound
There are many joys you experience in life, but I never knew how one little sound could bring so much joy. When I discovered my wife and I were going to have a baby, I was overwhelmed with joy and excitement. I figured from that point on it would just be a waiting game for the nine months it takes for the baby to fully develop and be born.
I was surprised by how much joy flowed over me when we heard that first heartbeat. It was like a huge wave of calm and happiness just rushed over me. It put me at ease and the only thing I focused on was hearing that heartbeat over and over again. This sound would be what we looked forward to the most with each and every visit to the doctor. As long as we could hear that sound we knew things were going the right way and we were happy!
