2011 Reflection and 2012 New Year Resolutions
As this year comes to an end, I have had a lot of free time to reflect on 2011 and think of what I want in 2012. I appreciate all the fun times I had with my friends and family. I’m truly blessed to have them in my life. I hope to have plenty more memories and stories with them this year.
2011 was a year of a lot of change for me. There were a lot of changes in my personal life as well as my professional life. For the first time in 12 years I changed jobs. I also moved from downtown Dallas back to the suburbs. I continued having fun with snowboarding and didn’t break anything. Socially I came out of my shell a little and tried to do more things. The changes were very welcomed but I still haven’t found the level of happiness I really want.
It’s always good to remember the good times and learn from your past, but you have to make sure that you don’t stare too long and miss out on the present. I want to continue to make changes in my life and try to get to where I want. So with that in mind I came up with some resolutions for 2012:
- Lose 15lbs and get back into shape.
- Give people more chances and go out on more 2nd dates.
- Be less concerned with flaky people and quit making efforts to keep them around.
- Stop letting things from the past keep me from moving forward.
- Do more with my photography. Do a project at least once a month.
I’m really looking forward to what 2012 will bring. For some reason I have a feeling that it will be better than 2011 and might even have something special in store for me!
